Welcome to Bukid (“Bukid”, “we”, “our”). Bukid is a hyperlocal marketplace that connects small Filipino home producers with nearby buyers. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the Philippines to use Bukid. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Account rules

You are responsible for all activity on your account. You must keep your password confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. Impersonation, use of false identity information, or creation of multiple accounts to evade moderation is prohibited.

3. Seller-choice-per-listing model

Each seller independently sets the price, fulfillment method (pickup, seller delivery, or third-party rider), and accepted payment methods (cash on delivery, GCash, bank transfer) for their own listings. Bukid does not mediate these choices.

4. No funds held

Bukid does not hold buyer funds and is not a party to any transaction. Payment flows directly between buyer and seller. Bukid charges sellers a subscription fee for use of the platform but does not take a commission on individual transactions.

5. Prohibited content

You may not list items that are illegal under Philippine law, counterfeit, hazardous, firearms, explosives, endangered wildlife, prescription medications, tobacco, alcohol (without proper licenses), or any item that violates our Content Policy.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload. By posting a listing, you grant Bukid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

7. Limitation of liability

BUKID IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUKID DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. BUKID SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or Bukid shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.

9. Data protection

Bukid processes your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). See the Privacy Policy page for the full data subject rights you enjoy including data access, export, correction, and deletion.

10. Internet Transactions Act

Bukid complies with the Internet Transactions Act (Republic Act No. 11967). Sellers are required to disclose their verified identity and contact information to buyers at the point of transaction. See the Content Policy page for the complaint channel.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will bump the version string on the Privacy Policy page and notify users on next login. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
