Bukid is a clean, ad-free marketplace for small Filipino home producers. To protect that experience we enforce the following community standards, and we provide a complaint channel as required by the Internet Transactions Act (Republic Act No. 11967).
1. Prohibited listings
- Illegal goods or services under Philippine law.
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives.
- Controlled substances and prescription medication.
- Stolen property and counterfeit goods.
- Endangered wildlife and CITES-restricted animal products.
- Adult content and sexual services.
- Alcohol and tobacco without proper licensing disclosure.
- Hazardous chemicals and radioactive materials.
- Listings that contain false or misleading claims.
2. Prohibited behavior
- Impersonation of another person or business.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive language in messages.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade moderation.
- Posting duplicate listings to manipulate search results.
- Using stolen photos from other sellers (perceptual hash duplicate detection enforces this).
- Fake reviews or review manipulation.
3. How we enforce
Every verified user can report a listing, message, review, or user account by using the in-app report button. Reports are routed to a human moderator. Sanctions include listing takedown, account suspension, or permanent ban. Serious cases may also be reported to the relevant Philippine authorities.
4. Complaint channel (RA 11967)
Under the Internet Transactions Act, buyers and sellers have the right to raise disputes and complaints through a clear and accessible channel. To file a complaint:
- Use the in-app report button on the listing, message, or review in question (preferred — creates a trackable ticket).
- Email
complaints@bukid.ph(placeholder) with the subject line “Complaint” and a description of the issue, the counterparty username, and any supporting evidence. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days. - If you are unsatisfied with the resolution, escalate to the Department of Trade and Industry E-Commerce Division at

5. Response and resolution
We aim to resolve complaints within 7 business days of acknowledgment. Complex cases may take longer. You will receive an update at each stage.
